The leader of Killnet, a pro-Russia hacker group known for launching denial-of-service attacks, claimed on a Telegram channel that the group had become a private military company and would offer its services to private and state sponsors.
Since Russia's invasion of Ukraine on 24 February last year, Killnet has been targeting organisations supporting Ukraine with mostly DDoS attacks. These include dozens of healthcare organisations in the US and EU and several educational institutions in Australia. More recently, it has also leaked stolen data believed to belong to thousands of people with links to NATO.
