The ITU Global Symposium for Regulators has published a discussion paper analysing key initiatives and lessons learned gathered through ITUs Global Network Resiliency Platform#REG4COVID.
It provides an overview and analysis of policy and regulatory measures taken during the COVID-19 pandemic and in preparation for recovery. The paper covers measures related to connectivity resilience, data traffic increase, maintaining continuity of vital services, and ensuring affordable, safe, secured and trusted access to online services. This discussion paper is designed to help countries better cope with increased connectivity demands in the future, and will be discussed at the ITU Global Symposium for Regulators in September 2020.
