US technology and industry conglomerate Honeywell has announced plans to launch 'the most powerful quantum computer' by the middle of 2020. The quantum computer that Honeywell is working on will have a quantum volume of at least 64, 'twice that of the next alternative in the industry'. The company is partnering with Microsoft to enable users to make use of Microsoft's Azure classical computing resources while accessing Honeywell's quantum computer. Honeywell has also announced a partnership with J.P. Morgan Chase to allow the company to use quantum computing in its financial services.
