According to Euractiv, a leading Green lawmaker in the European Parliament has hit out at Italy's Five Star Movement (M5S) following revelations that Facebook is investigating the Italian party over potential data misuse. This investigation of the M5S' mobile application is part of a broader investigation into the data protection operations of app developers on the platform. Buzzfeed reports that by examining the parameters, it is possible to view the permissions that users granted the application, such as birthday, interests, likes, religion, politics and location.
