Following the Ministry of Education's Action Plan for Education Informatisation 2.0 from 2018, China Unicom, NetDragon, the National Engineering Research Center for E-Learning, and the National Engineering Laboratory for Educational Big Data established an education joint venture to provide education informatisation products and services to G-end, B-end and C-end users across the country. The joint venture will focus on the education industry, based on a) China Unicom's communication and innovation capabilities in 5G, big data, cloud computing, Internet of Things and blockchain; b) NetDragon's artificial intelligence, VR/AR, 3D platforms, education informatisation-related software and hardware capabilities; and c) the practice of education informatisation by the National Engineering Research Center for E-Learning and the National Engineering Laboratory for Educational Big Data.
