Michael O'Rielly, Commissioner at the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC)has said that the net neutrality issue will need to be tackled by the US Congress. O'Rielly explained that he does not believe that the issue should be addressed exclusively either by the FCC or by the Congress, but that the best approach would be if both entities agreed on the course of action. The Commissioner also spoke about the court decision in favour of the current net neutrality rules, arguing that it was a simple result of the court having had a high level of deference to the FCC and how it explained the regulation.
