The UN Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) has called on the African states to invest in digital transformation in spite of the coronavirus pandemic, and to address issues such as gender digital divide, low bandwidth and lack of internet access that limit digital growth in Africa.
The call was made during a webinar titled 'Unlocking Africa's Digital Potential Amid COVID-19' that was organised by African Information and Communication Technology Alliance (AfICTA) and UNECA.
