The Korean Ministry of Science and Technology together with Korea's Internet and Security Agency has announced that it will test the use of blockchain in online voting. The South Korean government has already approved a blockchain-based voting system that can be employed by more than 10 million people. This initiative is part of a wider testing of blockchain solutions for social welfare, postal services, renewable energy, to name but a few.
