According to Privacy International, despite Facebook's claim, its feature "Download Your Information" does not provide users with a list of all advertisers who uploaded a list with their personal data. In a study, Privacy International reveals inconsistencies in the information provided about the advertisers, and indicates negative implications for users' rights under EU's GDPR. Also, the recently announced Off-Facebook feature comes with similar issues, giving little insight into how advertisers collect your personal data and how to prevent such data collection.
