Russia has blocked LinkedIn in the country under the allegation that the social network failed to transfer Russian users' data to servers located in national territory. This violates a law instituted in Russia requiring all online sites to store personal data on national servers. The decision was issued by Russia's communications regulator, Roskomnadzor, following a decision from the Moscow city court. Russia has described its rule on localized servers as a way of protecting user's personal data.
