Johns Hopkins Medicine (JHM) and Microsoft announced a five-year partnership in using Microsoft's Azure and analytical tools to advance JHM's efforts in precision medicine. The collaboration will enable JHM's precision medicine initiative inHealth to utilise Microsoft's software and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities. As part of inHealth, JHM has set up 16 Precision Medicine Centers of Excellence where researchers are conducting studies on a number of disease settings, including prostate cancer and multiple sclerosis. The announcement noted that JHM will maintain total control over its data, and that the project is compliant with all applicable privacy rules.
