India is considering regulating cloud computing

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) is considering introducing regulation for cloud computing, and has published aconsultation paper asking for input in this regard from stakeholders. Some of the areas covered by TRAI in this paper, an on which comments are sought, include: control over data stored in the cloud, data portability, interoperability of cloud services, quality of service, and security.
