On Wednesday, Samsung held its Unpacked 2023 event, where it announced its latest additions to its Galaxy S smartphone and Galaxy laptop lineup.

When was Samsung Unpacked 2023?

The Samsung Unpacked Event took place on Feb. 1 at 10 am PT/1 pm ET.

The event itself was held in San Francisco, California, which made this the first in-person Samsung Unpacked event since the pandemic. 

Members of the press, including 's Jason Cipriani, were welcome attend in person. 

The general public, however, didn't have to miss out on the fun. The event was livestreamed in its entirety.

What to expect from Samsung Unpacked?

At Samsung Unpacked, Samsung unveiled its newest smartphone lineup, a trio of S-series phones. The new phones follow their typical naming scheme with the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. The highlight of these phones include its new upgraded camera. 

In addition to the smartphone announcement, Samsung also announced its Galaxy Book 3 laptop lineup, featuring its first Ultra laptop. The three new models include the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra, Galaxy Book 3 Pro in 14 and 16-inch sizes, and the Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360.

This Unpacked event lacked any tablet, smartwatch, or earbud announcements.
