According to the GSMA's 'Mobile Economy Latin America 2020' report, 15 million 5G connections are expected in Latin America by 2022. The number is expected to rise to 62 million by 2025 which translates to an adoption rate of 10%. The study finds that the employment of 5G connection is expected to improve the impact of mobile technologies and services on the region's economy just like it has done in the previous years. Mobile technologies and services contributed US$421 billion and around 1.4 million jobs to the Latin American economy in 2019.
