Ekho Moskvy, an independent Russian broadcaster, has announced that they will appeal the decision by Russian telecoms watchdog Roskomnadzor to block their website. Earlier, Roskomnadzor told Interfax that the block was instituted 'for the purposeful and systematic circulation of information materials containing false information about the essence of the special military operation in Ukraine, its form, methods of conducting combat actions, quantitative human losses of the Russian Armed Forces, and instances of shelling and civilian casualties, as well as those calling for the organization of mass (public) events in Russian territory'.
