Egypt's National Council for Artificial Intelligence revisited the country's national strategy for artificial intelligence (AI) which focuses on localising the technology and advancing its usage to support development goals in the areas of agriculture, water management and rationalisation, health, planning, culture, antiquities, industry, and infrastructure. The council paid special attention to the role of AI in addressing challenges of the agriculture sector, including optimisation of irrigation and pesticides. This further includes maintaining soil fertility and improving overall quality of crops and the competitiveness of Egyptian products worldwide.
