AT&T has long offered certain subscribers a free online storage app and service designed to back up photos from their phones. That certainly sounds handy. Alas, in the tradition of "all good things must come to an end," the service is being retired.
Powered by tech company Asurion, AT&T Photo Storage has been available as an app for iOS and Android users alike. Through the app, AT&T subscribers can back up their photos and videos at full resolution. The service even provides tips and tricks designed to improve your picture?taking skills.

Well, enjoy it while you can. Starting Oct. 20, 2025, AT&T Photo Storage will stop backing up your files. At that time, the app will be removed from Apple's App Store and Google Play. The service itself, however, will still remain available until Feb. 1, 2026, at which point your stored photos will vanish as well.
OK that's the bad news. Now for the good news: You have ample time to save your online photos if they're not already stored elsewhere. A new web page from AT&T and Asurion provides the steps you'll need to take.

After you've safely downloaded and inspected your files, you can delete your AT&T Photo Storage account. That process will also erase all your stored files, so make sure you've retrieved them all.

Though AT&T Photo Storage has been a helpful perk for subscribers, a variety of other cloud?based services can back up and store your photos and videos. These include Apple iCloud, OneDrive, Google Photos, Box, Dropbox, Flickr, and Shutterfly.
