Connecting everyone to the Internet won't solve the world's development problems according to Scroll.in's analysis of the World Development Report 2016. At least 40% of the population has Internet access, and eight of ten people in the developing world own a mobile phone, (more than have toilets or clean water). Community action projects like Kudumbashree and Digital Green, use community-based services and digital technologies to assist youth, agricultors, women and others, in the quest to reduce the digital and other gender, age, and human rights divides.
