Council of Europe (CoE) Commissioner for Human Rights, Dunja Mijatovi?, urged Azerbaijani authorities to respect freedom of expression and legal and other rights in her recent report. Other points addressed were the situation of lawyers, and lack of access to quality legal support, concerns about those internally displaced, and the freedom of the press. Other issues were also emphasised, such as: (a) the need to lift travel bans, (b) guarantee the right to vote, (c) uphold European standards protecting Internet freedom, (d) bring the code of conduct in line with freedom of expression.
