Apple and Google have launched software that will help public health agencies to create mobile contact tracing applications for COVID-19. The technology, referred by the two companies as an 'exposure notification' tool, uses Bluetooth signal exchanges between smartphones to log interactions with others. US states and 22 countries would develop an app using the software. According to a survey conducted by Checkmarx, 48% of respondents in the USA are unlikely to or refuse to use COVID-19 contact tracing apps.
