Amazon is being sued by e-book customers for having allegedly breached US antitrust laws by colluding with major publishers to inflate e-book prices. This is the second class action complaint filed before the District Court of New York and comes less than a month after a similar case was brought to the same court. The cases claim that Hachette, HarperCollins, MacMillan, and Penguin Random House colluded with Amazon, which has a dominant position in the e-book market, to increase prices by 30%.
